Jamiroquai: Lessons Wrapped in Funk.

I personally love Jamiroquai as an artist. His music has a cool, 1980s groove to it that relaxes the muscles (not all the muscles, obviously). Plus, his use of music in order to express problems that transcend the usual "guns, b***ches and hoes" rhetoric is rather commendable. That is not to say that the message, "guns, b**ches and hoes" does not have its niche in music. Every era has its form of "guns, b**ches and hoes". However, that niche has become such a large (or at least well-known) part of the industry that it leaves little room for music that challenges the mind.

More specifically, music that compels the mind to think in ways that brings about solutions to societal problems (like illiteracy, violence, fear of taking responsibility for one's actions). I will someday address this issue in more detail. But now is the time for music!

So without further adieu, I give you "Too Young to Die" by Jamiroquai. Enjoy!
