Every so often, life becomes so time-consuming that we forget to give thanks for the little things we have. On occasions, we take for granted those entities (whether it be family. friends or random acquaintances) who are responsible for introducing and instilling those qualities that continue carrying us from one day to the next. We ignore the opportunities we are given through seemingly random acts of kindness from people who see us worthy of them.
For me, thanksgiving holiday is one of those periods where I get the chance to breath and contemplate those things I am thankful for. To much of my extended family who I get the opportunity to see from time to time, I thank you all for not setting me aside to explore other ventures. Though at times, I feel horrible for being the reason why my parents forwent greater opportunities to enhance their lives, I respect what they did. Their acts of selflessness inadvertently exposed me to people who challenged my way of thinking. My parents sacrificed much of their best years to make sure I had the opportunity to oversee great years, with the potential to experience greater years. I will continue to work towards repaying them.
To my siblings, nephews, nieces and cousins, I am so happy to have all of you. Your abilities to see the world in a different light keep my mind fresh and filled with vigor. The times I spend discussing seemingly random topics keep me questioning ideas that are considered irrefutable. Even though we fight from time to time, I never would want any of you to distance yourselves from me. Your existences are what make me relevant and they will continue to make me relevant long after I leave the eye of the public, disappearing into the abyss of the irrelevant and forgotten.
To the friends and acquaintances that I have met along the way, getting to know all of you has been a thrill. The connection I once had with some of you may have been lost, but the memories remain. The trials I see some of you go through, makes my trials easier to deal with because I learn from all of your mistakes and successes.
To those of you who visit my blog, I thank you all for taking time off to read what I have to say. Whether you agree or disagree with my comments, reading them means that they are worth something. If you don't read my comments at all and just come here to troll, trolling is also time-consuming. So thank you for making me worth your time. :)
To all of the fans, haters and casual readers of this blog, I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! May your families be blessed.
