Since the summer of 2014, I have been fighting with myself trying to decide on whether I should write a review on Transformers: Age of Extinction.
For some reason, every time I agreed to write the review I always found a way to talk myself into waiting a couple more months.
To be clear, the difficulty in writing the review for this movie does not stem from poor time management, lack of material or sheer laziness. It comes from the fact that my views on Transformers seems to contradict the international success of the movie. Reaching $1 billion in world-wide revenue by the end of the summer, the movie made me question if I had missed something. Had I been too narrow-minded to see the big picture? Was there an aspect of the movie that I had missed? Every time, I found some excuse to put off writing this review.
Well, no more. After renting the DVD release from Redbox, watching it countless times and taking lengthy notes, I have decided to write out this review detailing both the successes and grievances of this last installment. To allow for full expression of my thoughts, I will spread out the review into a series of posts that I will be writing for the next couple of days. I will call these series of posts The Rant Of A Geek: Transformers Age Risking Extinction. So sit back, relax and enjoy the ideas that have been brewing in my mind regarding the release of this movie.
