This morning, I felt like I had been hit by a train.
My eyes were moving but the rest of my body refused to operate. My head, my hands and my legs felt like someone had strapped a lead dong bell on them. Other than giving me the gift of sight, the rest of my body was not in agreement with me.
Mind you, I know it is a weekend. "Many people use the weekend to sleep, EBG. That is what the weekend is for." Yeah, I get that and I would otherwise agree if I had nothing else to do. Unless I can make sleeping a profession where people actually enjoy watching me sleep (which is borderline creepy, in my honest opinion), it is what it is...a means for my body to regenerate from the daily rigors of a fast-moving economy. It should not disrupt my productivity. So it got me to thinking, I can't be the only person suffering from this disease of bedtime bouts? Somewhere in the world, someone's productivity is taking a nose-dive thanks to a lack of willpower to get up.
That's when it hit me. "Why don't I start a new segment and call it Wake-Up Music where I share songs that give you a reason to wake up in the morning?" So here's a dose of Wake-Up Music, to enhance your morning experience every time you open your eyes. We begin your treatment with Jay Hardway's "Wake Up". Enjoy!
