In the "Hands To Myself" music video by Selena Gomez, things get steamy when Selena Gomez plays a fanatic who breaks into the home of her celebrity crush--Los Angeles-based model, Christopher Mason (whose real name is Chris Brown. Don't believe me?

What do you expect? Sex sells. She does, however, allude to the question of whether celebrities are safer now from obsessed fans than they were in the past. Luckily, Selena's character is not crazy enough to lunge at Mr. Mason with a knife but there have been cases where celebrities (or their families) have either been kidnapped, nearly kidnapped or killed by an obsessed fan. One of the most notorious examples of celebrity deaths by a fan's hand is the death of Selena on March 31, 1995. So how safe are celebrities from fans?
