The Death of A Legend: The Man of Many Faces Passes at 69

The deaths of an icon is not a good start to the New Year. However, the way a person dies is only a fragment of one's history. The contributions left by that person is just as valuable, if not more valuable than his/her death.

Today The Hollywood Reporter confirmed through a representative of Alan Rickman that he passed earlier today at the age of 69 from cancer. I cannot yet be confirmed find how long Mr. Rickman has been battling this disease responsible for the deaths of so many influential and respectable figures, but it is quite obvious that the industry is feeling the loss. Earlier today, a variety of actors who had worked alongside Mr. Rickman, which includes Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe, paid their respects today.


Though Mr. Rickman was well-known for playing the difficult, yet oddly misunderstood Severus Snape, he has given his face and voice to many successful movies which include Die Hard, Alice In Wonderland, The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Quigley Down Under, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and Closet Land.

So I present to all of you a playlist of the many faces of Alan Rickman as a tribute to the great actor that touched the hearts of many on an international scale. RIP Mr. Alan Rickman and may you continue bringing joy to those you meet wherever you are.
