I respect a gymnast with attitude.
First and foremost, I respect any and all gymnasts! It is one thing to make a body strong enough to support one's own weight. It is another thing to make it flexible enough to bend at will. These people find a way to balance strength and flexibility without destroying their bodies. For that, I have the utmost reverence for them.
Some gymnasts go the extra mile to make their routines a form of expression. Every move becomes a story of their life. Every tumble stands as a tribute to the culture that influences them on a daily basis. When these gymnasts unapologetic-ally reveal a side of themselves that most people choose to ignore, they become Rembrandt's and Van Gogh's. This young lady that I am about to share is, in my opinion, the Rembrandt of this generation.
She gave the crowd one heck of a show when she decided to incorporate hip hop dancing with her floor routine. I just wish the camera did not cut to her team mate on The Dab move. I wanted to see how she finished it. Still awesome! Enjoy!
