After experiencing an epiphany that can only be described as otherworldly, an Indian clerk named Srinivasa Ramanujan (played by Dev Patel) leaves his home and those he loves to England. There, he hopes to share his findings with members of the scientific community. However, he quickly learns that not everyone is willing to accept the findings of a foreigner. Now he must battle racial prejudices towards him and prove to the community that his findings are sound.

The You Tube trailer for The Man Who Knew Infinity holds such promise. Mr. Dev Patel is such an accomplished actor at such a young age. His performances in Slumdog Millionaire and Chappie were excellent. Let us not forget the talented Mr. Jeremy Irons. He won an Academy Award for his role as the extravagant Claus von Bulow in the 1990s mystery Reversal of Fortune (which is worth watching at least once). I hope this film gets a nod for a couple of awards. We will just have to wait and see (Theatrical release dates can be found here). Until then, enjoy the trailer.
