We all remember that one person growing up who made us feel different.

We did not know why, but a little piece of our existence hinged on whether or not that phenomenal human being felt the same way about us. There was no such thing as a condition. We did not ask or seek for anything other than acceptance--- a love with no strings attached. A love as pure as a childhood crush.

The new music video by Yuna featuring Usher called “Crush”, embodies all the elements of a childhood crush. Spontaneous, simple, unbiased and captivating. The choice of venue being the stairs of some bank is a great choice. The flight of stairs separating the different people who experience “the crush” represent the distance felt by one longing to be accepted. The monochromatic scenes give a sense of simplicity, hinting to the non-conditional nature of a childhood crush. In essence, the actors, the camera shots and the slow-motion scenes make for a pure, personal and wonderful music video that keeps true to the song itself.
